A note from the Social Studies teacher:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is my pleasure to teach Social Studies to your child this year.

I would like to invite you to follow our class blog at www.ho-rdps.blogspot.ca. This blog will provide information on upcoming due dates and homework, as well as ways you can support your child’s learning in Social Studies. You can also find the link to the blog on our school website under “Classrooms”.

This year, your children will be learning about Living and Working in Ontario (September-January) and Communities in Canada from 1780 to 1850 (February-June).

Dear Parents and Students,


We have had a successful first day of school and we are so excited about the wonderful year we have ahead of us.


Please be sure to:
- read our Remind messages (homework updates will be sent home daily via Remind),
- check the homework folder in each students communication binder + sign their reading log daily,
- log onto our website here to keep up to date with what is happening in your child's education.


If you have any questions please feel free to contact your child's teachers via the office or Remind.


We hope your child has had a wonderful first day back and want to thank you in advance for supporting your child and helping us help them along their learning journey.
